The media is often astounded by the phobias some people have- many seem unusual or even ridiculous but to the person suffering with the phobia, it doesn’t matter how silly it may seem to others- it is very serious to them. An example in the press today is a lady with a phobia of bananas. She has had this phobia for years since her brother hid a banana in her bed. This is another example of how an innocent prank can generate an unconscious negative and very irrational repsone .
There seem to be so many people suffering with phobias who do not realise how effective hypnotherapy and NLP are at removing these limitations to their lives. There are also many people who are told how they can be free of their phobia using these methods who simply can’t believe that it is possible. This is often because the phobia is such a big thing for them, how could it be possible to change something so major?

It may sound bananas but I can’t get over my fear of the yellow fruit
